my laptop meets the "Vista Premium Ready PC" capabilities. My Apple Intel PC also meets those standards, whether you want to call that "Vista ready" or "Vista capable" (at least according to the Vista Advisor). This was confirmed when I installed Vista Ultimate, and it booted into the full Aero GUI.
